BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A homicide investigation is underway after a shooting in Ensley Saturday afternoon.

According to police, a person was shot in the 2600 block of Avenue K at 3:16 p.m. Saturday.

Saturday evening, Birmingham Police confirmed to WBRC that the victim in the shooting has died and an investigation is underway.
