Video above: Chicagoland immigration raids lead to over 3,000 arrests in two months
CHICAGO (WGN) - Shots were reportedly fired at U.S. Border Patrol agents during immigration enforcement operations in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago Saturday afternoon.
The Department of Homeland Security claims agents were conducting immigration enforcement operations near 26th Street and Kedzie Avenue when an unknown man driving a black Jeep fired shots at agents and drove off.
DHS further alleges a group of people also threw a paint can and bricks at Border Patrol's vehicle.
The Chicago Police Department was called in for help and cleared the scene.
CPD said their officers were sent to the area for reports of shots fired at federal agents. Officers secured the scene and there are no repo
