KNOX COUNTY, KY. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Foggy conditions led to a multi-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on Highway 25 E in Knox County.

According to Knox County Dispatch, the crash happened around 5:40 a.m., sending four people to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials say one of the injured was a pedestrian who had exited her vehicle to check for damage and was then struck by another car.

Authorities believe poor visibility from dense fog played a major role in the collisions. The roadway was temporarily shut down but reopened around 8 a.m.
