In the lead-up to Remembrance Day, a group of Paris locals is collecting stories about hometown veterans and the locals who continue to serve.

“Homes of Heroes” aims to honour their military service, give younger generations an understanding of the cost of war, and recognize and support the work of Paris Branch 29 of the Royal Canadian Legion.

“It’s getting late to hear some of these stories and so I thought they should probably be written down and made public so they don’t get lost entirely,” Neil Edwards told The Hamilton Spectator.
