UMass pulled away in the second half by outscoring the UAlbany men’s basketball team 45-30 on the way to an 83-62 non-conference victory at Mullins Center in Amherst, Massachusetts on Saturday.

After the Great Danes’ Preseason All-Conference Team selection Amir Lindsey opened the season with 20 points in a loss at Marquette, the Minutemen bottled him up for just seven points on 2-for-12 from the field with seven turnovers in 37 minutes.
