CONTENT WARNING: CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE
A man accused of sexually assaulting a young boy has been found dead in his prison cell.
John Bell, 44, was remanded in custody in HMP Inverness, Scotland when prison officers found his body on November 8.
Mr Bell was arrested after he allegedly attacked an eight-year-old boy who was on a camping trip at Loch Ness Bay near Drumnadrochit.
The boy was alone in a tent when the alleged assault took place on July 31 at about 1am.
His father woke up after hearing distressed cries and witnessed the alleged attacker run away into the woods.
A manhunt eventually led to the capture of Mr Bell, who was charged on September 1.
He had not entered any plea before his death.
