NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - Sunday will be quite the transitional day in terms of your weather.

Starting with early morning showers and storms that will slowly, but surely cross into the I-10/I-12 corridor, North Shore and Mississippi counties by 5 a.m. then move southeastward towards the South Shore and coastal areas.

They should be coastal by lunchtime, and it's around the same time that wind directions will fully change coming down from the north bringing chilly temperature over the next 48 hours.

After noon, we'll have mostly sunny skies throughout southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi.

Speaking of winds, the wind gusts will be picking up royally so be sure to bring in anything that can potentially be blown around.
