St. John Vianney’s Giovannina Beltra scorched her two vaults and dominated on the bars to win two of the four individual events at Saturday’s NJSIAA Girls Gymnastic Championships at Brick Memorial on Saturday.
Beltra, who was the state all-around champion in 2023, did not compete interscholastically last season, but returned this year to compete in the two events for SJV, showing that she was just as dominant as ever.
Beltra’s decision to compete in just the two events made her a non factor in the All-Around title, which went to Middletown South’s Ava Trezza. But where Beltra chose to compete, no one could come close, as she capped her high school career with the pair of gold medals.
