Laurie C. Campbell has officially launched her campaign for Kentucky House District Seven this afternoon at the Owensboro Museum Of Science And History.

Campbell, who is a Democrat, emphasized her commitment to public education and economic fairness. A former banker, and longtime educator with Daviess County Public Schools, she highlighted her experience in schools and community service as the foundation of her platform. Health care is also an issue that she says she will focus on if elected.

“Health care is not a luxury,” Campbell said. “I have family members who will tell you that getting a cancer diagnosis was not a choice. Health care should be accessible and affordable for all, especially during those times when the worst news comes your way.”
