New York Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani concluded the last day of his three-day visit to Puerto Rico on Saturday with meetings and discussions with labor unions.

Mamdani was in Puerto Rico for an annual summit that brings New York’s politicians and lobbyists to sunny San Juan for strategy meetings and workshops.

During the closing day, Mamdani emphasized the importance of organized labor and reaffirmed his dedication to working-class New Yorkers.

He cited recent victories by unions both in New York and Puerto Rico.

Fresh off his election win, Mamdani was the main attraction of the Somos conference, a New York-based organization dedicated to empowering Latino communities.
