(KFVS) - With the exception of UT Martin’s win over Tennessee State, Saturday was a day to forget for college football teams in the Heartland.
SEMO displayed a valiant charge late in the 4th quarter, on the road at Gardner-Webb, with Jax Leatherwood throwing for 304 yards and 3 scores, time running out before the Redhawks could get one final possession to complete a comeback. SEMO fell 24-27.
With the loss, SEMO drops to 3-7 overall and 2-4 in conference play. The Redhawks go back on the road next weekend, headed to another 3-7 school in Western Illinois.
