OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — As the federal government shutdown halts SNAP benefits for thousands of Oklahomans, several metro restaurants are stepping up to help families feed their children—offering free meals to those who can’t access food stamps. Taquitos Feliz at NW 23rd Street and MacArthur Blvd. has seen a steady influx of new customers all week. “I’m pretty sure it was well over 100 people,” owner Roberto Brambila said. But that boom in business isn’t translating to profit. “No, not in this case,” Brambila said.
