One family’s odd dynamics were put on display during Saturday Night Live ‘s karaoke night, in which SNL host Nikki Glaser takes the stage with her brother and father.

Siblings Becky (Glaser) are Petey (Tommy Brennan) are first up as their parents (Andrew Dismukes, Ashley Padilla) watch alongside Pete’s new girlfriend, Katie (Sarah Sherman).

“This is for my little brother. Love you, buddy,” Becky says, as Petey returns the sentiment.

But then the Goo Goo Dolls’ 1998 song “ Iris ” begins to play, and the two get uncomfortably close.

“And I’d give up forever to touch you,” Petey sings, with his hand on her hip.

“You’re the closest to heaven that I’ll ever be, and I don’t want to go home right now,” Becky replies.
