An earthquake measuring 6.07 on the Richter scale struck India’s Andaman Islands, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ). The tremor occurred at 12:06 p.m. IST, with its epicentre located in the Andaman Sea at a depth of 90 kilometres (latitude 12.49°N, longitude 93.83°E), according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).

No casualties have been reported so far.
