A teenager and two adults were killed Saturday in separate incidents that D.C. police are investigating as homicides, officials said Sunday. A teenager was fatally shot in a fourth incident, but police did not call it a homicide and said only that they were conducting a death investigation.
The number and frequency of homicides in the District have decreased since President Donald Trump called in August for a surge in the presence of law enforcement. Three homicides in a single day is unusual in that three-month period.
