New Delhi, Nov 9: A moderate earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck the Andaman Sea at 12:06 PM (IST) on Sunday, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported. The quake’s epicenter was located at latitude 12.49°N and longitude 93.83°E, with a depth of 90 kilometers.

Tremors were felt across parts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, though there were no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage, officials said. Local authorities have urged residents to stay calm and adhere to safety protocols.
