Missouri basketball is back for its third game of the week with a home matchup against Virginia Military Institute on Sunday afternoon at Mizzou Arena.
The Tigers (2-0) had to grind out a win over Southeast Missouri State on Friday night in Columbia, as Mark Mitchell put up 29 points in an 89-84 victory over the mid-major, in-state opponent.
Mizzou won on the road Monday against Howard to open the 2025-26 season.
VMI (2-0) beat Southern Indiana 78-74 on Friday on the road in Evansville, Indiana, backing up a season-opening win over Division-III Johnson & Wales on Monday. Forward TJ Johnson has averaged 25.5 points over those two victories for the Keydets.
