Sally Otto Gallery to feature Katie Butler exhibit
ALLIANCE − The University of Mount Union’s Sally Otto Gallery will host an exhibit featuring painter Katie Butler of Akron.
Butler’s still-life work examines the relationship between money and power. Recent exhibitions include the Abattoir Gallery in Cleveland, Unit London in England, Marrow Gallery in San Francisco and HESSE FLATOW in New York.
Her solo presentation at HESSE FLATOW was featured as a “Must See” exhibition in ArtForum. She is an Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation grantee and has been an artist-in-residence at Byrdcliffe Art Colony in Woodstock, New York, and Alfred University in Dusseldorf, Germany.
The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, will run through Dec. 11. An artist’s reception is planned from 4 to 6 p
