Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for more sanctions against Russia as it hit eastern Ukraine early Saturday killing three people and wounding 12 others.

Zelenskyy said Russian strike killed 3 people in Dnipro and 1 person in Kharkiv.

“The main targets of this strike were our cities, our energy sector, and our people. Tragically, there are fatalities,” he said.

He urged countries to impose as many sanctions as needed to strip Russia of any means to continue war.

“Weak responses to Russian brazenness spur Russia to continue the war. We need so many sanctions, so much pressure, so much support for life that Russia is stripped of all means of existence in wartime.”

Russia fired a total of 458 drones and 45 missiles, including 32 ballistic missiles.

Ukrainian forces shot down and neutralized 406 drones and nine missiles, the air force said, adding that 25 locations were struck.
