Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Borealis recently welcomed guests back in the United Kingdom after undergoing a series of upgrades in drydock.
According to a press release, the 1,353-guest vessel welcomed back passengers onboard on November 7, 2025.
The Borealis underwent a two-week scheduled maintenance program at the Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam (DSR) starting on Oct. 21, 2025 .
Fred. Olsen said that, in addition to technical upgrades, the vessel underwent a “comprehensive rejuvenation” of both its interior and exterior areas.
The investment focused on guest-centric enhancements designed to elevate the onboard experience, the company added.
Public areas such as The Observatory and The View have been refreshed, bringing a brighter and more inviting feel.
