Rishabh Pant-led India A suffered a shocking defeat by five wickets against South Africa A in the second unofficial four-day Test match played at BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground 1 in Bengaluru. On the final day of the match, South Africa rode on half-centuries from Jordan Hermann, Lesego Senokwane, Zubayr Hamza, Temba Bavuma and Connor Esterhuizen (52*) to chase down the target of 417 runs in 98 overs for the loss of five wickets.

For the visitors, Hermann top-scored by amassing a total of 91 runs from 123 balls, whereas Senokwane and Hamza added 77 runs each to South Africa A’s total in the second innings. South Africa Test captain Bavuma made 59 runs from 101 balls in the second innings as a No. 4 batter after getting out for a golden duck in the first.
