Filmmaker Jon Favreau has been named an Honorary Member of the Visual Effects Society (VES), recognising his pioneering work in advancing virtual production and digital storytelling. The honour was presented during the VES Honors Celebration on November 7 at the newly opened Sony Pictures Imageworks facility in Los Angeles, according to El Balad.

The recognition celebrates Favreau’s groundbreaking integration of visual effects and storytelling throughout his career.
