“I have never strayed from Pradyumna Bal’s ideals,” said Dr. Achyuta Samanta, trustee of the Pradyumna Bal Memorial Trust, during the 93rd state-level birth anniversary celebration of the legendary journalist and socialist leader.

Speaking at the event, Samanta praised Bal’s uncompromising stance on truth and transparency. He recalled how Bal exposed corruption by a senior IAS officer in Pragativadi, which led to immediate retaliation against KIIT, a fledgling institution at the time. Despite pressure, Bal continued publishing the truth, refusing to compromise his principles.
