Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday evening in Rochester.
Officers responded around 7 p.m. to reports of shots fired and a person down on the 300 block of Jay Street, near Walnut Street. When they arrived, they found a 30-year-old man in a front yard suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
