PHILADELPHIA — The Detroit Pistons announced on Saturday evening that third-year guard Marcus Sasser will remain out as he continues rehabilitation for a right hip impingement, the team stated in a press release. He will be evaluated in four weeks. Sasser injured his hip during the preseason and has not played since the regular season began on Oct. 22. He is currently traveling with the team on its two-game road trip, which started against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday.
Ahead of the Pistons’ 114-106 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, coach J.B. Bickerstaff said Sasser “has been able to do some things” on the court, but “the response hasn’t been where he is comfortable.”
