A man dressed all in black robbed an Elmira business on Saturday, police said.

The incident happened at 4:45 p.m. near the corner of Arthur Street South and Church Street West.

“An unknown male entered the establishment, stole items and assaulted a customer before fleeing on foot,” Waterloo Regional Police said.

No one was injured.

The suspect is white, about 20, six-feet-tall with a slim build and dark blond hair, police said. He has a cross tattoo under his eye.

The man was wearing a black hoodie, black tuque and black pants. He carried a camouflage backpack.
