After missing last week's game against the Cincinnati Bengals with a groin injury, D'Andre Swift was once again questionable to play for the Chicago Bears this week against the New York Giants. His return to practice Wednesday, however, was a good sign for where the running back was trending, and now we know Swift will be back.

On Saturday night, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Swift is indeed expected to make his return to Chicago's lineup. He'll be a welcomed addition against a Giants defense allowing the most rushing yards per attempt on the season and the second-most rushing yards per game, in addition to being tied for the second-most rushing touchdowns allowed.

Who is D'Andre Swift's backup?

D'Andre Swift's backup is Kyle Monangai, and he could still see significant action even with Swift returning. In Swift's absence, Monangai ran for 176 yards against the Bengals, earning himself more playing time. Head coach Ben Johnson said the backs could alternate series, and the team might just ride whoever has the hot hand.
