Cuttack: The state government will organise Odisha’s first-ever boat race ‘Mahanadi Boita Pratiyogita 2025’ on November 11 and 12.

Men’s and women’s teams from 10 states, including Odisha, will take part in the competition.

The Fly Boat Race will be one of the highlights of the event, providing spectators a thrilling experience along Mahanadi river near Gadagadia Ghata.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida will inaugurate the competition at 11.45 am on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the races will begin at 8 am and conclude at 4 pm.

Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati will felicitate the winners at the closing ceremony to be held at Gana Kabi Baishnaba Pani Manch on the second and final day.
