Country music singer Gabby Mooney experienced a medical emergency in 2023 that resulted in her briefly flatlining, she revealed in a recent interview with ABC’s “Nightline.”

Mooney, the sister of Dan and Shay star Shay Mooney, was driving home to Arkansas when she suffered an intense headache.

“This one was so pounding that I could barely see the road, but I remember thinking, ‘I’m just going to keep driving’,” she told Nightline correspondent Ashan Singh. “‘You’re going to feel so much better in your own bed.’ And I just wanted to make it home.”

After arriving home, her mother woke her in the middle of the night.

“She’s like, ‘Ah, I think we need to take you to the hospital,’” Mooney said. “And I said, ‘No, no, no, I’m good.’ And she said I started having seizures.”
