Brooklyn Heights, Ohio (WOIO) - ‘I’m In Ministry’ in Brooklyn Heights is collecting winter clothing items just in time for the first expected snowfall on Monday.

“We are going to serve 15,000 people this year, it says a lot,” said Deacon Louis Primozic. “Last year was about 13, 14.”

Primozic is with the ministry.

He said thousands of donated coats, hats and gloves are ready to give to those who are less fortunate.

Primozic calls this a need, especially with so many people struggling.

“Everyone is talking about SNAP right now and it’s a serious issue. The people, women, children that have to go get the food, they are walking to the bus stop,” said Primozic. “Then they have to walk to wherever that food is available and reverse that back home.
