A 37-year-old motorcyclist was killed Saturday after colliding with a vehicle outside a Wawa store in Bergen County, authorities said.
The motorcyclist was found about 3 p.m. in front of the convenience store on Essex Street in Lodi, according to Jeff Angermeyer, deputy chief of detectives for the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police from Lodi and surrounding towns responded to reports of a collision and found the motorcyclist with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead a short time later, Angermeyer said.
“The driver of the vehicle that collided with the motorcycle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators,” Angermeyer said.
