CENTERVILLE, Texas (KBTX) - A woman and two family pets are dead after a structure fire that took place Friday evening.

According to the Centerville Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD) a call came in around 7:47 p.. for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, they found a single story home fully involved in a fire along with one adult female and 2 family pets deceased on the scene.

Crews remain at work on Saturday morning to extinguish hotspots.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and there are no further details at this time.
