Three Arizona Republic journalists won a 2025 Rocky Mountain Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for "Goons," a documentary about a gang of violent suburban teenagers.

Michael Chow, a former Arizona Republic visual journalist, and reporters Robert Anglen and Elena Santa Cruz were named winners in the cultural/topical documentary category.
