After a modest start in September, Tesla’s sales in India saw a notable decline in October.
According to registration data, the electric carmaker sold only 40 units in October, compared to 64 units in September, bringing its total sales to 104 vehicles since entry.
Industry experts note that the drop could be due to supply constraints, pricing, and limited dealership presence as Tesla continues to test the Indian market ahead of a larger rollout.
The company has not yet launched localized production or established official showrooms, with its vehicles currently being imported as completely built units (CBUs) — attracting high import duties.
