November is National Family Caregivers Month. Every year, the Alzheimer’s Association recognizes the impact of caregiving and honors the more than 12 million Americans caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease.
Caregivers, also known as care partners, often have so many responsibilities that they may neglect to take care of themselves.
But the best thing they can do for those they care for is to stay physically and emotionally strong.
Many of the participants in my support groups have commented that when their loved one was first diagnosed, they thought their world had come to an end.
