NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - Herrell's Ice Cream is celebrating its 45th anniversary with a two-hour giveaway of free small ice cream on Saturday.

September 7 marked 45 years of operation for Herrell's Ice Cream, and on November 9, the business is holding a giveaway at its North Amherst and Northampton locations from noon to 2 p.m. Visitors can receive a free small ice cream in a cone or a cup.

"We love the ice cream business and our customers," said Judy Herrell, owner of Herrell's Ice Cream. "So we want our customers to celebrate with us. We placed a sign on our windows about the event last Sunday. We hope to see a lot of happy customers to celebrate with."

Herrell's Ice Cream is located in the Mill District at 83 Cowls Road in North Amherst and in Thornes Marketplace at 8 Old South St
