A third loss on the season wasn’t enough to knock Mizzou out of the coaches poll.

Missouri football dropped seven spots to No. 24 in Sunday’s updated US LBM Coaches Poll, clinging to a spot in the rankings despite a blowout loss to Texas A&M on Saturday at home. Missouri and Tennessee are the only three-loss teams who were ranked this week.

The Tigers (6-3, 2-3 SEC) lost 38-17 to still-undefeated Texas A&M on Saturday on Faurot Field. It was Mizzou’s third loss in its past four games, and this one officially eliminated Eli Drinkwitz’s team from contention for a spot in the College Football Playoff field.

Missouri has finished back-to-back seasons with double-digit win totals and ranked among the top-25 in every major national poll and the College Football Playoff rankings.
