Cities within Peoria County had a decline in the number of lawyers with active licenses compared to the previous month, according to the ARDC of the Supreme Court of Illinois.

In total, there were 323 active legal licenses recorded in cities in Peoria County in October, compared to 324 in the previous month.

The majority of these active licenses were granted in Peoria (311).

According to the ABA’s 2024 Profile of the Legal Profession, Illinois had the fourth-highest number of lawyers per capita in the United States, with nearly five lawyers per 1,000 residents.
