ATLANTA — The latest AP top-25 poll released on Sunday saw Georgia remain steady at No. 5, despite dominating Mississippi State on Saturday, and Georgia Tech move up despite not playing at all.
The Bulldogs beat... the Bulldogs in Starkville 41-21 to move to 8-1. The Yellow Jackets, also 8-1, moved up from No. 16 to No. 14. They next play on Nov. 15 against Boston College.
The more consequential College Football Playoff rankings will be released Tuesday night. In the first release of those rankings earlier this week, Georgia clocked in at No. 5 and Georgia Tech was tied for 12th with BYU, who lost on Saturday to Texas Tech.
