Jerry Jones statement on passing of Paul Tagliabue

Former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue, one of the pioneers of the NFL and a key figure in the league's success, passed away this weekend at the age of 84.

He was appointed commissioner in 1989, the same year Jerry Jones bought the Cowboys. Tagliabue was the commissioner of the NFL for all three of the Cowboys' Super Bowl wins, handing the Lombardi Trophy to Jones and the Cowboys, who became the team of the 90s.
