DM imposes prohibitory orders

Budgam: To ensure smooth conduct of the upcoming elections and mark the end of the campaign period, District Magistrate (DM) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, has issued Prohibitory Orders under Section 163 BNSS across the district. As per the order from the Office of the District Magistrate, restrictions will be in place from 6:00 PM on November 9, 2025, to 6:00 PM on November 11, 2025, coinciding with the polling scheduled for the 27 Assembly segment. The measures aim to uphold democratic integrity and prevent law and order issues. The order bans unlawful assemblies under Section 189 of BNSS, prohibits processions and rallies, and restricts public meetings or gatherings related to elections to maintain peace and order in the district.
