POINTE COUPEE PARISH, La. (WAFB) - An 88-year-old Glynn man died following a single-vehicle crash in Pointe Coupee Parish on Saturday, Nov. 8, according to Louisiana State Police.
Troopers said the crash happened shortly after 12:30 p.m. on LA-416 near LA-981. The investigation revealed that Joseph Bajoie was driving west on LA-416 when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle ran off the right side of the road. Investigators said it then reentered the roadway before veering left and striking a tree.
According to LSP, Bajoie was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead on the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
