When Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky met pastor Dave Wilson at training camp in 2005, Orlovsky, by his own admission, was a "very stereotypical athlete" who had money, popularity, fame and women but "was as empty as ever" in his spiritual life.

More than 20 years later, Orlovsky and Wilson are longtime friends and are the fifth guests on Detroit Faith City, a Detroit News podcast that features local athletes, entertainers and public figures talking about their faith along with their spiritual mentors.
