The chilling text messages between Cleveland Guardians reliever Emmanuel Clase and two bettors have been leaked, following the bombshell news that he was charged with accepting illegal bribes.

On Sunday afternoon, ESPN’s Jeff Passan broke the stunning news that Emmanuel Clase and teammate Luis Ortiz were indicted in Brooklyn on charges of “rigging” some of their pitches to help illegal gamblers. If convicted, they each face up to 65 years in prison.

The shocking development comes less than three weeks after Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups, Miami Heat star guard Terry Rozier and former NBA player Damon Jones were among 34 people for their involvement in an illegal betting ring that included fixed poker games.
