A man tragically found dead in Hampshire has been pictured as police continue their murder probe.
The body of Ernest Konrad Deputat, 45, was discovered in a wooded area near the wildlife reserve in the centre of Southampton Common on October 8. Investigators said there was also evidence that a "significant fire" had broken out at the spot several months ago. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary launched a murder investigation.
Ernest, a Polish national, was living off-grid and was known to the city's homeless community, charity Crimestoppers said.
His family, who are being supported by specialist officers, paid an emotional tribute written in English and Polish.
They said: "Ernest, you were a modest, but dream-filled brother and son. Every meeting with you was unforgettable.
