Mildura Base Public Hospital (MBPH) has been caught copying and pasting data in its annual reports across a four-year period.

Identical figures on the amount of compliments and complaints the hospital received have appeared in the 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 reports.

For each of those years, the hospital told the state government it had received 247 compliments and 239 formal concerns.

The hospital has now acknowledged that it has failed to disclose up-to-date figures.

MBPH released its first annual report in November 2021, after transitioning from private to public management the year prior.

In doing so, it became one of 77 hospitals and health services obliged to publicly submit reports to the Victorian government annually.
