Air Force One did a flyover of Northwest Stadium in Maryland Sunday as President Trump arrived to watch and participate in a Veterans’ Day “Salute to the Service” halftime ceremony.
The presidential airplane roared low over the stadium as thousands cheered it on from the stands below, with footage from the window capturing the crowd and the plane itself cruising by on the jumbotron.
The president was scheduled to watch the home team Washington Commanders take on the Detroit Lions from the owner’s box in Landover stadium, where the team has been playing while awaiting the completion of a new stadium on its home turf in the capital.
That stadium – a $3.7 billion behemoth – is expected to be completed in 2030.
