EAST PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Veterans’ organizations and other community groups gathered Saturday for East Peoria’s 94th Veterans Day Parade.

Participants marched through the Levee District, including VFW Post 2078, the Greater Peoria Honor Flight, and Cub Scout Pack 36.

Veterans who marched want people to know what they experienced.

“People don’t realize what all that we sacrificed throughout our careers. It was not an easy and fun time being overseas,” said Bryon Hasty, the senior vice commander of VFW Post 2078.

Post 2028 organizes the parade each year. Even though this year’s parade just happened, they are already working on next year’s parade.
