DAYTON — No. 1 Anthony Wayne suffered heartbreak once again, losing the Division II state championship match Sunday to No. 3 Avon.

The Generals fell by scores of 16-25, 25-18, 23-25, 22-25.

Anthony Wayne finished as runner-up for the second straight season.
