DOUGLAS COUNTY, Kan. —
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says an arrest has been made in the hit-and-run crash that killed 20-year-old University of Kansas student Elsa McGrain.
The sheriff's office said Sunday that they located the suspected vehicle and driver involved in the crash. Advertisement
McGrain was struck and killed while running along the 1700 block of East 1500 Road near the Lawrence airport Thursday evening, Nov. 6.
Authorities say the driver left the scene after hitting McGrain.
Deputies later found her early Friday morning after a passerby spotted her on the side of the road around 3:35 a.m.
No charges have been filed in this case yet.
